SI #1 Ayurveda 101 for Yoga Therapists
The session is not a CIC.
In this 3 ½ hour seminar you will get an overview of Ayurvedic medicine and learn about the basic theories and practices that underpin this ancient sister science to yoga. We will cover the knowledge base in the first hour and move into how Ayurveda overlaps and compliments yoga and yoga therapy specifically in the final sessions. The seminar will be a balanced mix of lecture and experiential offerings and will support Section 1.31 of the Standards: Knowledge of the basic perspectives on health and disease from yoga and Ayurveda relevant to the practice of yoga therapy.

SI #2 Creating a YRx Practice Presence in Your Community

In this 3 ½ hour seminar you will get a brief overview of effective marketing and referral networking of Yoga therapy services to move your home community from “Yoga what???” to “Yoga therapy is what you need.” We will cover the knowledge base in the first hour and then move into individual and small group work to create your personalized action plan to allow your yoga therapy presence at home to unfold. The seminar will be short bits of lecture and mostly personalized experiential/action planning based on the lecture material and your unique home setting.
